I'm suffering from Writer's Laziness.
I'm sure other people who have written know this one. I love my ideas, be they reviews or stories, when they're a big swirling mass of potential in my head. But to sit down and hammer them out? rough man.

Does anyone have any coping strategies for this?

Drabbles. Outlines. Long bull sessions with the friends onna phone to work out the details. Those tend to work for me. :)

Merlin Missy is right. Outlines are VERY helpful. It's easier to see the ideas from your head on the page if you do an overview first of what you want the story to accomplish.

You can always brainstorm. Thought webs may seem like kid stuff, but when you just write down ideas and how they connect and create this big mass of connected words or phrases, writing afterwards comes easy.
